4AD Records announced yesterday that Atlas Sound, Bradford Cox’s solo project, is set to release a second album Logos on October 19th following the debut Let The Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel. |
| Atlas Sound, Cox’s solo project, is a lot more ambient than Deerhunter, his 5-piece band, which had more upbeat songs, where Cox sang a bit deeper. He has such a beautifully haunting voice; it’s very calming & surreal, almost hypnotizing. For Logos, Cox has collaborated with other musicians in his songwriting. 4AD mentions that Logos includes a song titled “Walkabout” that Cox wrote with Noah Lennox, aka Panda Bear, while he was on tour with Animal Collective in Europe. Laetitia Sadler from Stereolab provides vocals in another track, “Quick Canal.” Supposedly there are some demos and mixtapes of Cox’s new work that leaked out from his blog, but for now I’ll just share with you one of my favorites from Let The Blind… | |
