Indie darlings Beach House became the most talked about band back in 2010 with the release of Teen Dream. Now the time has come for their follow-up album, and the anticipation is already creating quite a buzz. Bloom is set to release May 15th, and from the sounds of it this Baltimore-based duo has picked up right where they left off. Two singles have been released so far, “Myth” and “Lazuli,” both of which have that distinct flare that we’ve come to know and love as uniquely Beach House. Fuzzy, dreamy, sometimes emotional, sometimes playful, and always epic. Pre-order you CD or LP now at Sub Pop to receive a bonus poster featuring artwork from Beach House’s Victoria Legrand. If you pre-order the LP, you’ll get The Loser Edition (a colored white vinyl version).

And here come some exciting news from across the pond : Christian AIDS, an intriguing band/project from Manchester that “write songs about love, depression and the brutality of human nature” and produce some mind-blowing 90’s inspired chillwave/dubstep/electronica/witch house you will want to rave to. And, as the band’s name and artworks suggest, Christian AIDS like it controversial. From a rebellious post-punk anthem like “Stay Positive” to a chillwave lullaby gone dubstep outburst like “Fever“, Christian AIDS throw together a vast array of musical influences and raw emotions that combine in a few haunted, epic tracks, UK style.
Get them for free at Christian AIDS’ bandcamp, while waiting for a debut 7″ single set to release through DoubleDenim Records this April.

The long-awaited follow-up to Panda Bear’s much-loved album Person Pitch is set to release through Noah Lennox’s own label Paw Tracks on April 12. So far the album sounds like what we’ve come to expect from Lennox’s unique brand of vocal work and music depth, but this time he claims he’s getting away from the more sample-heavy parameters of his previous work and focusing more on the guitar and synthesizer.
Sounds good to me. Check out the latest single from the album, “Last Night At The Jetty.”

The release date is October 9th which also coincides with the launch of the new label The Acme Thunderer. If you can make out to Richmond I am sure it will be a great time. Enjoy!
