I couldn’t resist, this song is way too sexy not to post. Cee Lo found his way onto the 7th season premiere of American Dad, playing himself & the Hot Tub of Love. Here’s one of the many steamy tunes from the episode. This is why American Dad trumps Family Guy everytime. There, I said it. QDust out!

Depending on your particular level of geekness, you may or may not know that Tron: Legacy hit the theaters today. I will not even try to weigh in on this film, but I will say the Daft Punk’s soundtrack is near perfect. So… enjoy my favorite jam “The Game Has Changed” above, check out the official video for “Derezzed” below, and get a crew together to go see it for yourselves.
I just watched World’s Greatest Dad a couple nights ago. If you haven’t seen it, you should check it out. It’s a twisted, dark comedy about a father who loses his son to a freak accident and decides to ghostwrite a suicide note to avoid embarrassment. There’s a scene in the movie with a shortened version of The Deadly Syndrome’s “I Hope I Become A Ghost,” and since watching it I’ve had the song on repeat in my head. I had never heard of the band before, they’ve got a really catchy and intriguing sound. Hear the song on the movie’s soundtrack, or pick up a copy of their ‘07 album The Ortolan.

I’ve probably watched Ferris Bueller’s Day Off at least 100 times. If you fancy yourself a Bueller fan than you are well aware that the movie’s soundtrack is totally sweet. The Dream Academy is featured twice in the movie, during Ferris and Sloan’s make out scene and the epic museum scene. Here are the two tunes, “The Edge Of Forever,” from their ‘85 self-titled, and the album version of their cover of The Smith’s “Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want.”

I’ve been on a Spoon kick since their latest release Transference came out last month. So naturally I decided to watch “Stranger Than Fiction” to bask in the glory of its soundtrack, consisting mainly of Spoon songs. One song in particular always tickles my Spoon bone, and that’s “The Book I Write” that plays during end credits……….. Long live Spoon!

So my original plan was to do an elaborate post on Ken Andrews & Brian Reitzell’s soundtrack to the film “Shrink“, but I could not for the life of me find the music to this film anywhere. Unfortunately I don’t think they are planning on releasing the soundtrack, which is a travesty. If anybody has in their musical possession any of the music composed for this fantastic film, please send it my way. But for now, here’s a track off the film that I was able to find, Darius Holbert’s “Shiny Girl”.
