Whilst summer is quickly fading, cling on to its final days with a revisiting of NC surf-pop group, Coastal Vision. Though only a three-piece band, Coastal Vision effectively layers their sound by employing the use of vocal harmonies and reverb frequently throughout their debut record, Are You Anxious. As the title may suggest, Are You Anxious deals with familiar themes of anxiety, heartbreak, and frustration, but does so in its own unique and charming fashion. Led by the memorable and upbeat melodies of “Brother,” “Matador,” and the anthemic “We Go Out,” Coastal Vision’s poppy and energetic songs are unavoidably likable, and certainly impressive. Groove to Coastal Vision’s beachy vibes, and savor those concluding summer days.
