As July went by way too fast, I found myself looking for some tunes that could lift my pre-September mood and remind me that, despite the French rain, Summer is still here. That’s how I stumbled on Evan Voytas‘ “I Run With You, Spirit Animal”. Even at the first listening, there’s something highly addictive in this bouncy little track that I’ve been playing on repeat ever since. Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and self-producer Evan Voytas from Pennsylvania, now based in LA, blends classic rock influences with his very own spiritual experiences to create a playful and feel-good vibe that runs throughout this “Spirit Animal”. |
Add some sweet harmonies, catchy drum beats and the sexyness of Voytas’s gentle voice, and there you have it : the ultimate summery song. I finally got my Summer back, and guess what? It’s even sunny here in Paris.
