Long Distance Analog – Plecked Medium

Long Distance Analog Plecked Medium

So I never would have thought I’d come to say this, but I happened to listen to a lot of disco and nu-disco stuff this Summer. And to like it, actually. To like it a lot. Among quite a bunch of good things, I had a chance to check out the not-so-newcomers Long Distance Analog. Hailing from “somewhere between Boston and Detroit, Massachusetts” according to their myspace, they have released their first EP, “Plecked Medium”, through the well-named Mullet Records label, back in 2009. They have been going pretty much unnoticed ever since, which doesn’t do them any justice, as every single one of their tracks shows undeniable mastery and creativity, leading to a signature clean-cut sound.

“Plecked Medium” is, of course, one of them : impeccable drums and delightful electronic melodies paired with an aerial voice : there are times when a little disco feels just right, indeed. Check out their myspace for more.
