There something truly special about this band. Something that is not just unique to DC, but unique to music. Fritz Kramer and co. have done it again with the latest single from Long Walks On The Beach, “We’re Growing Up”. The song takes you through the feeling of youthful freedom, and the realization that it can’t last forever. Ya know… growing up. The jangly guitars dance in-between the pulsating drums, lifting you up into the wide-eyed poetic chorus and sparkling bridge. The track is recorded in a lo-fi style that gives an instant feeling of AM radio nostalgia, but the song is quite ambitious. Aiming to make you feel good in the way pop music was meant to. |
