Lotus Plaza – The Floodlight Collective

Deerhunter’s guitarist Lockett Pundt released his first full-length album The Floodlight Collective back in March on Kranky records and I’m just now getting around to it. Floodlight is masterfully saturated with layers upon layers of sounds and atmospheres, topped off with Pundt’s light vocal work to create a pretty impressive collection of shoegaze greatness. I should have snagged this five months ago when it came out. The entire album is streaming on Myspace, so check it out. Here’s the last track, “A Threaded Needle”. |
