New Radiohead Songs, No New LP?

Two new Radiohead songs in the past two weeks have surfaced on the internet, but in a recent interview in the July/August 2009 issue of The Believer, Thom Yorke states that the group has no current plans to work on another full-length anytime soon . . . if ever. In fact, Thom Yorke is becoming less and less a fan of the idea of physical albums in general, and he talks about how digital EPs and singles might be the future of Radiohead. You can read excerpts from the interview at Stereogum, or buy the issue directly through the magazine’s website. Below are two new songs from the group, the first one titled “Harry Patch (In Memory Of)” is a charity track the group released in dedication to the last remaining UK veteran of the 1st world war, who recently died at the age of 111. You can download the track at download.waste.uk.com for the price of £1, the proceeds going to the British Legion. Read more about the song at Radiohead’s deadairspace. The second track is just your typical mp3 leak, this one titled “These Are My Twisted Words”. Enjoy.
