Good music fights a war against cliche. Electronic music has an inclination to slide into cliches because of the mode of its creation. Lazy producers, using only computers, can easily rely too heavily on sound banks and factory presets. The offense, old sounds used exactly as they have been used before. There are a handful of “Dreams” remixes out there that fall into every bad electronic music cliche, and worse yet, it ignore everything that makes “Dreams” a great song. Anyone looking for a quality remix of Fleetwood Mac’s only #1 hit should go for the Rocco Raimundo edit. Mr. Raimundo had the good judgement to let the song do all the work for him.
