It’s pretty much impossible not to like Yea Big + Kid Static’s brand of fresh, honest-to-goodness hip hop. They’ve been making noise together since 2005 and with their latest release, The Future’s Looking Grim, it sounds as though they’ve only just begun. Here’s their brand new video for “Heavy Catamaran,” a song from their 2006 The Heavy Seven 7″, which I highly suggest listening to….It’s great!

Phaseone has been causing a fuss via the tubes of the internet with remixes of indie artists such as Animal Collective and Panda Bear. (Check out the Animal Collective “Daily Routine” remix below) I scored the new album from a great blog Porch of the Mystics. You can zip the file there. If you are into transy big beat electro pop, this record is for you. I pulled one of my favorites from the record. The intro sounds like the alarm noise when you are in danger on Starfox… how cool is that?
