This is a slight break from the usual Electric Saturdays format, but I can’t post a Scott Hansen song (aka Tycho) without sayin’ a little somethin’ somethin’. Especially when it’s a brand new Tycho song – the first single off his upcoming full-length album Dive. This is Tycho’s first LP since the release of the much loved Past Is Prologue in ‘04, and the first new single since the release of Coastal Brake back in December of ‘09. The name of the track is “Hours” and it is drenched in the warm tones and sonic soundscapes that have always made Scott Hansen’s music so instantly likeable, memorable, and for me at least, some of the most cherished pieces in my music collection. The album is set to release November 15th through Ghostly International, and you can view more details about the upcoming album on the label’s website.

Here’s a couple great tracks from Denmark’s Kenton Slash Demon. These guys mix together stellar beats & deeply lush, warm samples to create truly enjoyable, organic-sounding IDM tunes.
