I think Ohio might be my new favorite source for undiscovered indie talent. Especially in the form of ambient-pop and IDM. Here’s another one from Athens, Ohio’s own, our good friend Spencer Radcliffe, aka Blithe Field, once again drenched with fuzzy nostalgia and organic electronica (organica?). This split single, appropriately titled Football, with Laments and Blithe Field musically personifying the spirit of America’s greatest past time, is just another example of how the rural Ohio music scene can do no wrong.
