Mont Lyons‘ webisode antics continue in their third installment, and this one proves to be their most impressive both in humor and performance. Bryan and Brandon introduce us to the newest members of the crew with “Love Over Mind” off their upcoming EP Sleep Talk. Yep, this is the same song we showed a few days ago, but it takes on a whole new life with all hands on deck so check it out.
Our good friends Mont Lyons are gearin up for the release of their first EP, Sleep Talk, and from the videos and tracks we’ve heard over the past few months, this album is something to get excited about. A little over a month ago we did a post on the up & coming Mont Lyons, who are currently working on their first EP release Sleep Talk. These guys are so new their Myspace isn’t even a month old . . . but their sound is far from amateur. From Longmont, Colorado comes the beautifully haunting harmonies and folk-inspired melodies of Mont Lyons.
With Brandon Crews on the guitar and Bryan Oliver behind the Rhodes, Mont Lyons are charging the indie music battle field with their sights set on joining the ranks of such folk-pop heroes as Fleet Foxes and Band of Horses. Do they have a long way to go? Hell yeah they do. But give their songs a good listen, and I think you’ll agree when I say that these guys have all the necessary ingredients. Seeing that both Oliver and Crews were both raised in an all a cappella church, rich vocal harmonies just seem to come naturally. Throw in a bass player and a drummer and these guys are ready to hit the road. Be on the lookout for their first EP, Sleep Talk, available near the end of 2009.
