Here’s a delightful little tune from the up-and-coming Icelandic duo Feldberg. The Dreamin’ single is set to release August 30th along with a ten track album of remixes on the same date. Can’t wait to hear what else they’ve got for us! |

I think Ohio might be my new favorite source for undiscovered indie talent. Especially in the form of ambient-pop and IDM. Here’s another one from Athens, Ohio’s own, our good friend Spencer Radcliffe, aka Blithe Field, once again drenched with fuzzy nostalgia and organic electronica (organica?). This split single, appropriately titled Football, with Laments and Blithe Field musically personifying the spirit of America’s greatest past time, is just another example of how the rural Ohio music scene can do no wrong. Download it for free here. And if you missed them a few weeks back, check out our Blithe Field interview here and our review of Beautiful Wave ‘74 here. |

| “Material Things” is the latest single by Jake Troth. It’s about the love of the world he grew up watching on television. The ridiculously expensive and lavish lives of those people he always wanted to be. It’s unbelievably catchy and will without a doubt be stuck in your head for the remainder of the day. Click here to buy it on iTunes. |

My buddy hooked me up with the Best Coast 7″ Sun was High (So Was I) and I love it. Great pop, rich sound, and it really gives you a gooey nostalgic feeling. I believe it is out of print but I could be wrong, so keep digging. Until I get more word on that check out their other music cause it’s all good… Enjoy! |

I just recently got heavy into Dayve Hawk’s work, aka Memory Tapes. His latest album is a slightly dark, dancy-electronic delight titled Seek Magic, released in very limited quantities back in September as an LP. I hopped over to his blog just the other day and grabbed the mp3s from his Graphics single, released November 10th. The single has an edited “Graphics” track on it, and an instrumental track titled “Easy Pert Mom.” If you get a chance, pick up a copy of Seek Magic, it’s fantastic! |

Shout Out Louds will release their latest album Work (which has sort of a Fleetwood Mac-ish album cover in my humble opinion, which is a good sign) on February 23rd, and have offered up a taste of what to expect with a free download on their website of the song “Walls”. And for the die hard fans out there, you’ll find some in-the-studio footage of the group recording the song here. |

Spoon announced “Written In Reverse” as the first single off their upcoming LP, Transference, set to release January 19th. So far only live versions of the song have been scattered across the web (I found this one on Stereogum, who found it on you aint no picasso, who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night). The mix is a little rough on this live version, but you can look forward to the official digital release of this song on December 1st. |
