Thank God Twin Shadow didn’t release a music video the likes of his indie-electro counterparts (see M83’s “we own the sky…), filled with generic shots of youth running through fields, flying kites, and looking cool. Instead, the video for “Five Seconds” is anything but generic, it’s borderline absurd. This absurdity however is precisely what makes it such an entertaining and rather lovable video. The song itself, driven by powerful bass and supplemented with synthesized string tracks, stands on its own. Few artists can top the scenes of masked, baseball-bat wielding villains chasing the leader of a legendary motorcycle gang across the country.
