For an eyeful of puppet wang, check out the latest video from Portland via New Zealand third-eye-openers Unknown Mortal Orchestra, in which a sad marionette with Encino Man hair jerks off, cries, gives up on painting, and maybe enjoys a little reverse voyeurism. Funny like a Todd Solondz movie, it pairs oddly with the group’s catchiest song to date, “Swim and Sleep.” These guys, though, are no strangers to odd pairings. Just look at their name (sinister, industrial) next to their sound (“Man Who Sold the World”-era Bowie on chill pills).words by Joe Thurston
